When my friend Lou Pellicioni asked to co author his book “Success Is More Than Winning – 99 Tips to Up Your Game” my assignment was to use my connections as a sports broadcaster and writer to gather stories from prominent athletes and coaches about their keys and tips to be successful.

I contacted and got stories and tips from some outstanding individuals like the late Franco Harris before he passed away, Gerrit Cole, Troy Polamalu, Kurt Warner and Hall of Fame Coach Dick Lebeau to name a few.

One of the interviews was with Pittsburgh Steelers star outside linebacker T.J. Watt who I have known for over nine years. His contribution to the book appears on page 124 and concerns not taking shortcuts in life.

Recently I interviewd Watt for my talkshow and gave him a copy of the book. He posed for a photo to help promote the book.
